The best way to get to Bangpra from Pattaya is to travel along the Sukhumvit Road towards Sriracha. You would then look for the 3144 turn with course being signposted. The total distance is around 40km. See map below.

About

The Bangpra Golf Club was designed by Japan Golf Promotions Co., Ltd back in 1958 making it one of the oldest courses in Thailand. In 1988 the course was updated in what was a joint venture between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Japan Golf Professional Incorporated turning it into the course that we all love today. The course sits on a spacious 550 rai of land and given its age is not surprisingly one of the most mature courses in the Pattaya area.

The course is very picturesque although the most interesting holes tend to be found on the front nine. The par 3 second hole across water and the long par 4 third hole are some of the most talked about holes on the course. The front nine is an excellent mix of well-placed bunkers and water hazards that would test even the most accomplished players. Although the course is seen as testing it is also seen as being very fair.

The second nine is something of a contrast to the front nine as it is notable much flatter. Some indeed view this as an anti-climax although many see it as a welcome relief. The two par 3, the 12th and 17th are over water and require you to hit and stay on the green from the tee - adding to their interest. The 12th, 13th and 15th also require shots over water so as you can see water is one of the key ingredients of the back nine.

The modern clubhouse features Japanese style baths and a luxurious locker room. The restaurant and bar areas are excellent with the restaurant specialising in Japanese cuisine so this particularly appealing to those who like this type of food.
