Best 10 from 20 Rounds

Category: Knowledge Center

We often get asked a question "I played a poor round and my handicap didn't change?" well, let me explain

The system takes your best 10 scores from your last 20 to calculate your handicap. Your best 10 scores are not always the 10 scores that you scored the lowest score i.e. not always your 10 best gross scores. The reason for this is some courses are harder than others and players play from different tees

How could a gross score at a course playing 5900 yards be the same as a gross score at a course playing 7300 yards, simple answer is that they couldn't be. So the system takes this into account when determining your best 10 rounds by adding an extra calculation using the difficulty of the course golf known as the course rating
