Pornanong Phatlum born on the 4th December 1989,is a Thai female professional golfer playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. Her first win on LAGT came in 2006 when she won the Hong Kong Ladies Open but did not get to pocket the winner’s purse because she was an amateur. She went back to Thailand and immediately turned professional. Since then (2006), Phatlum recorded four additional wins at the Thailand Ladies Open (2008), the DLF Women’s India Open (2008 and 2009) and the Hitachi Ladies Classic.
At only 25 years old this young talent has been making waves on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour, making at least one top ten finish since turning pro in 2006, achieving 15 in total. It’s surely just a matter of time now until Pornanong makes strides on the LPGA Tour and in the Majors.
Phatlum won the 2012 HSBC LPGA Brasil Cup , however, she is still seeking her first official LPGA Tour win as the Brazil cup is an unofficial LPGA tournament. She did however record a career-best T12 at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic and made 20 cuts.
In 2013 she recorded a career-best runner-up finish and a career-low 63 at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic.
In 2014 she made 22 of 26 cuts and tied her career-best runner-up finish at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
In 2016 Phatlum played in 27 events and made 24 cuts. Her earnings for the year were $617,761. She posted five top-10 finishes and four top-5 finishes. Phatlum tied her career-best finish at the HSBC Women’s Champions 2016 with a second place finish.
