TaylorMade Stealth fairway woods were put through their paces in the 2022 Fariway Woods Golf Test.
To assist you navigate the ocean of cutting-edge new clubs on the market, we put all of the newest products from top golf club manufacturers to the ultimate test. In this article you will find the results and complete review of TaylorMade’s new Stealth line of fairway woods.
We tested: 15°, 16.5°, 18°, 21°, 24°
Our take: The Stealth is a good choice if you want a more traditional fairway wood combination of distance and workability. During testing, testers gave the towering launch high marks and stated that toe shots regularly went as far as balls hit out of the middle.. ““I haven't had a chance to use one in a long time, but this one is ideal,” said one tester.. “I'm excited about the launch because I feel as if the ball is going to come down. The black crown is also rather attractive. He's a stealthy type of guy, but he definitely has some sizzle!.”
The details: The larger profile of the 190cc Stealth allows engineers to put more weight low and deep in the head for increased launch and forgiveness, thanks to its 3D carbon crown. The C300 Twist Face is geared to increase speed, but TaylorMade's V Steel sole is meant to promote adaptability by reducing drag when hitting off grass.
We tested: 13.5°, 15°, 19°
Our take: Take the word of a tester: The fully loaded Stealth Plus delivers respectable distance. "This face is just so attractive," the tester remarked after pounding another ball. “The spin on this ball is probably on the low side for my game, but I could easily swap out my driver with it. I'm being honest here.”
The details: The 175cc Stealth Plus uses the same ZATECH Titanium face as the SIM and SIM2. The ultra-light, flexible material maintains a high degree of ductility while also encouraging fast ball speeds throughout the entire structure. An 80-gram V Steel sole improves forgiveness without reducing turf interaction, similar to other adjustable fairway woods with V Steel soles.
