The Thailand Professional Golfers Association (TPGA) is a professional golf organization based in Thailand.

It was founded in 1995, and is the governing body for professional golf in Thailand.

There is also the Thailand Ladies Golf Association which is under the Royal Patronage of the late H.M. Queen Rambhai Barni of King Rama VII

What do they do?

The Thailand Professional Golfers Association (TPGA) is responsible for organizing and conducting tournaments, setting rules and regulations, and developing the sport of golf in Thailand.

For example, they ran several events in April and this month of May, they are organising several tournaments in Hau Hin and Cham Am under the title Thailand PGA Tour.

More to come in June and basically throughout the year.

They also run and host a Thailand Seniors Tour plus tournaments and events for amateurs.

They organise many Thailand team events for example at the Asean Games too.

There is also a development tour as well, so the TPGA is providing vital support for all levels of golfers wishing to take up the sport seriously and become professionals.

Who can join?

Any professional golfer who is a citizen of Thailand or has a Thai work permit can join the TPGA or the Thai LPGA.

What are the benefits of joining?

Some of the benefits of joining the TPGA include being able to compete in TPGA-sanctioned tournaments and events, receiving handicap indexing, and having access to exclusive member services.

As a member of the TPGA, you will also be supporting the development of golf in Thailand, running junior boot camps with professional training.

Singha has worked very closely with both the TPGA and the ThaiLGA over many years and through their joint efforts, Thailand has become one of the leading countries globally in professional golf.

The likes of Kiradech Aphipbarnrat, the Jutanugarn sisters, Patty Tavatanakit, and the new Thai superstar Atthaya Thitikul, all came up through the ranks thanks to these two associations.

Atthaya who is currently ranked 4th in the world is only 19 yrs old, was supported by the Thai LPGA from a very early age, and has represented Thailand on several occasions.

Their winning performance all across the globe from Bangkok to Japan, the LPGA tour in California to Chang Rai on the Thailand golf tour is remarkable.

Even during the pandemic when almost all golf tours including the PGA, Asian Tour and the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) ground to a halt, Thai golfers were still able to compete at locally run TPGA and Thai LPGA tournaments.

Why should I join?

If you are a professional golfer who is looking to compete in Thailand, then joining the TPGA is a great way to get started.

Just by joining the TPGA, you will have access to exclusive member benefits and services, as well as supporting the development of golf in Thailand.

You cannot beat the experience of competing and to play in a competition next to some of the most talented Thai players, many who are already starting to win tournaments and our filling their bank accounts too.

So what are you waiting for? Check out the Thailand Professional Golfers Association today!
