Dear PAGS players,
I feel the need to clarify and remind players where we stand regarding handicaps for the PAGS
Handicaps
All players are welcome to play in a PAGS event but only those with a USGA based handicap will be allowed to win any of the flight prizes. Handicaps must be issued by either:
Any other handicapping association will be case by case and at my (Shane’s) discretion
ALL PLAYERS ARE REMINDED THAT WHICHEVER ASSOCIATION YOU USE TO MAINTAIN YOUR HANDICAP, THE HANDICAP IS STILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND YOU SHOULD ENSURE IT IS UP TO DATE AND ALL YOUR SCORES GOOD OR BAD (IN THAILAND OR ABROAD) GO INTO YOUR PLAYING HISTORY. IF YOU HAVE 2 USGA BASED HANDICAPS PLEASE USE YOUR MOST UP TO DATE ONE WHEN ASKED AT REGISTRATION
THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE INTEGRITY OF OUR EVENTS AND THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME OF GOLF
**Players are also remined to check their playing history on a regular basis to ensure it is clear of errors. Above you will see a screen shot of the type of errors I am talking about which can impact your handicap**
The Birdie handicap system has made it very quick and easy to check for errors, recifiy errors but above all check others for errors as part of the peer review. After every PAGS I get messages regarding players handicaps so please don't get caught out and keep your playing history up to date and clear of errors
Many thanks for all your continued support
Shane and Dave
