Description: It is the latest addition golf course of the St.Andrews2000 group. It shares the same venue with the famous St.Andrews2000, and the Rayong Green Valley Country Club. Name it’s distinctively named after a native of Australian tree that resembles pine tree and is the main tree planted throughout the golf course. The backside of the leaf has the colour of silver gray colour that looks attractively with the wind. Silky Oak Golf Club in Banchang was designed by St.Andrews2000 Staff. Concept it is conceptually designed to differentiate itself from the other traditional design. Significantly, it offers golfers with different feel than St.Andrews2000 and Rayong Green Valley courses. It ideally has wider fairways and larger greens but yet requires a decent short game. Collectively, with the St.Andrews2000 and the Rayong Green Valley it’s conveniently the one stop golf holidays destination. Silky Oak Country Club is a golf course with 18 holes. The golf course is developed on top of the hill that has breathtaking 360 panoramic view and offers a challenging and exciting on rolling fairways. The course is suited for everyone coming to enjoy.

Description: Set among rolling hills near the gulf of Thailand, Rayong Green Valley is one of the most picturesque and popular golf courses in Pattaya. Located some 45 minutes from central Pattaya, the Peter Thomson designed parkland course is mature, well-kept, and reasonably priced. The layout at Green Valley features an inspired design that makes full use of the natural layout to create an enjoyable and testing round of golf for players at every level. Rayong Green Valley is set on the side of a hill and thus takes its many features from the large rocky outcrops, boulders, cactus, and other native fauna that are featured in the local terrain. Bunkers have been used very intelligently, inviting a good golfer to drive over them while shorter hitters have plenty of room to layup. Green Valley is one of Pattaya’s best walking courses as the undulating fairways in this peaceful setting allows those who prefer the exercise to enjoy golf at its best. The greens slightly elevated and vary from large to small – all with subtle undulations. The Rayong Green Valley complex also incorporates a large clubhouse with 3 different restaurants. The German restaurant is especially good, especially for those who like ice cold beer after their round. A housing estate, condominium, and small golf resort overlook the course.

Description: Working with a spectacular, undulating natural topography, English born golf course architect Desmond Muirhead has created one of Pattaya's most interesting golf courses. St Andrews, built to replicate a Scottish links course, is located in Rayong, about 45 minutes from Pattaya and 2 hours from Bangkok. The golf course offers an uncompromising challenge aimed at players with handicaps of 18 or lower. Playing at over 7700 yards to a par 74, this is a tough course. St Andrews features elevated tees and greens, tight landing zones, split elevation fairways, huge putting surfaces and while difficult to accept for the true golfer, two par 6's, over 800 yards each! The back nine in particular has large elevation changes and views of the surrounding hillsides. While aimed at more accomplished players, this most challenging course in Pattaya should be played all golf tourists. The course is an extremely tough test of golf from any tee and the two par-6 holes are a bit much for the golf course purist. The additional long fairway shot that must be played demands an entirely different dimension in concentration and course management. The two par-6 holes (Nos. 4 and 13) measure 878 and 861 yards, respectively. Both holes are "strategic" rather than penal. In particular, at hole 4, rock out-crops act as the backdrop and three ponds are exploited to maximum to ensure that playing the hole is not only pleasing to the eye, but also challenges the golfer to play their shots over the water to have any chance for par. The course demands a combination of both power and accuracy, with the strategic positioning of hazards forcing the player to remain focused on each and every shot. Even one errant shot can be very costly. This Pattaya golf course requires the use of every club and also will be the subject of lots of stories about a challenging round of golf. Bring lots of golf balls, a camera, and expect to otherwise be beaten up by this course. St. Andrews 2000 is under the same management, sharing the same facilities as the Rayong Green Valley and Silky Oak courses. The club house and onsite golf resort overlook the course, while the former makes for a good 19th hole to reflect on your round. Green fees are on the high side for Pattaya and with the compulsory golf cart; this course may not fit into everyone's budget. However, if just for the bragging rights to be the first on the block to have played a par 6 (actually 2) it should be worth it. For those looking for a best of Pattaya golf package, St. Andrews should be one of the included stops.

Description: The Emerald is a genuine country golf course with excellent course conditions and quality services. Its clubhouse and other facilities are by no means excessively luxurious, but full of warmth and friendliness in the tradition of the Thai rural lifestyle. THE EMERALD : is a veritable work of art by two well-know golf architects. "Nick Faldo" and the late "Desmond Muirhead" The 18-hold world-class design is carved through a pristine rain forest of full-grown trees that still provide sanctuary to a variety of native birds. The gentle, yet stunning contours of the fairways, the volcanic-like greens and the subtle water placements all combine to make the Emerald one the most challenging golf courses in Thailand.

Description: Great Lake Golf & Country Club has recently been renamed the King Naga Golf Club has a flat links feel to it with almost no water hazards, despite the proximity of the beautiful Dok Krai Reservoir only 700 yards away. Never mind the lack of water. Faldo made up for the lack of water hazards with a proliferation of sand traps, 120 of them if you are counting. And you’ll find the preponderance of these bunkers in fairway landing areas, although the greens do have bunkers as well. Hole 18 at 593 yards has 16 bunkers total, with four choking the landing area at 264 from the back tee and nine bisecting the fairway at 415 yards off the back tee. This is odd because big hitters will fly the landing area bunkers and the nine crossing the fairway will not come into play off the back tee. So, this bunkering is more punitive for the average to high handicap player. Maintenance may be the weakest point at this facility with guests commenting occasionally that the course doesn’t seem to be irrigated well and the greens and fairways tend to dry out towards the end of the high season. The clubhouse has also been mentioned as needing a little attention.

Description: The course was designed by Trent Jones Jnr and was opened in 1992. There is nothing overly complicated or technical about this course but it always manages to be one of the most popular in the area. One of the biggest attractions with this course is the fact the hole srun effortlessly in to each other and there are no long jokes between holes. The terrain is relatively flat making it a pleasurable course to walk and take in the scenery. The fairways are plam tree lined and generally pretty wide although on the 9th and 18th hole the fairways do narrow making the holes even more of a challenge. Should you hit the ball off the fairway into the semi rough finding your ball isn't too challenging - a welcome relief to many higher handicappers. The closing two par 4 holes have more trees to encounter but the attractive backdrop of jungle clad hill is a splendid sight. Many of the holes have flowers adorning them, most notably the attractive par 3 13th hole. One of the key features of the Eastern Star Golf Resort is the quality of the bunkers. All of the bunkers are well placed and wel maintain something that you associate with Trent Jones' designs. The clubhouse is basic but in good condition with a small restaurant and club shop. The locker rooms are clean and tidy. There is a driving range and putting green close to the first tee for those looking to loosen up before their game. The town of Bang Chang is close by and is a popular stop off for golfers before returning to Pattaya. There is a street with a number of bar and the ever popular Camel Pub is a great place to eat after your round.
