The province of Chonburi has some of the most renowned golf courses in the whole of Thailand, namely Siam Country Clubhost to the Honda LPGA event for the last 5 years and Amata Springshost to the Thailand Golf Championship. There are 19 courses in total and all 19 are within a 45 minute drive from the popular tourist spot of Pattaya and hence why Pattaya was named Asia’s best golfing destination of 2012. Other notable courses include Laem Chanbang International which was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus and Bangpra Internationalknown locally as the monkey course.
